It is a video work for the future that contains and takes a unique perspective on the changes in the world and our sensibilities as we live in the present.
Fashion is that provides you the strength to live your life.
The other day, while watching an interview with COMME des GARCONS designer Rei Kawakubo, I was reminded of the rebellious spirit arising from fashion that I have felt for many years. When I was a student, life was full of limitations and rules, and I felt that my identity was being suppressed. Above all, it was neither beautiful nor cool, and I could not stand that these limits were in place to control and equalize talent. There is even a danger that it can cut off an individual's potential. Fashion is not simply about being well-dressed, but it comes down to human intelligence. At times I have the impression that getting by entirely with mass-produced clothing is just an aspect which leads to mass-producing our routine lives.
I believe that fashion continues to show dreams, while also providing you the strength to live your life.

ファッションとは自分を生きるという強さを与えるもの
先日、コムデギャルソンのデザイナーである川久保玲さんのインタヴュー映像を見て、私は自分でも長年感じていたファッションから生じる反骨精神について再び思いを巡らせました。
学生時代の私は、あらゆる制限、ルールがある日常に、自分というアイデンティティが押さえつけられる感じがしており、何よりもそれが美しくもカッコよくもなく、単なる才能の平均化と管理のための制限であることが耐えられませんでした。
それはまた、個人の可能性さえも閉ざしてしまう恐れがあると感じていました。
ファッションというものは、単なるお洒落であるかどうかではなく、人の知性であると考えます。大量生産の服だけでそのすべてを済ませてしまうことは、ルーティン化した人生を量産化するという側面も見え隠れしているかもしれません。
ファッションとは夢を見せ続けながらも、
「自分を生きる」という強さを与えるものだと思うのです。
